=+= Malcolm's Moment =+= Hey guys, first off I’d like to congratulate all three of you. I think you all played a great game, and should be very proud of making the Finals! There’s been a lot of talk of the jury being bitter, and I’m not going to lie, this jury has been bitter. I think that’s the nature of an All-Star season where a lot of past relationships come into play, shit gets messy. Lucky for you guys, I’ve been somewhat of a gunslinging lone ranger since the first round. I never actually had allies I could trust in this game, so I’m approaching this vote from a less biased point of view than others on the jury. I do not have a pre-determined vote, though I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t leaning in one direction already, but I can be swayed based on your answers. In my opinion, there are two types of finalists, those who played to make the finals and those who played to win. People who play for the finals are those who rode coattails, played maliciously, floated or won their way there. This type of player will get here and will assess what they did in the game and include some revisionist history making it seem like just because what they did led to them making the finals that they should win. This would be like a Natalie Tenerelli, someone who made it to the Finals, didn’t play to win, but tried to rationalize what she did actually do to come up with some type of reason as to why she should be the winner. Then you have those that played to win, who consciously made moves in the game knowing that these wouldn’t just get them to the finals, but they would actually result in a win. Take for example Natalie in Survivor San Juan Del Sur at the Final 5. That was a move that she made consciously knowing that if she made the finals that she would win because of that move. These moves incorporate more risk but separates the Winners from the Finalists.
I don’t have an ego that needs to be fed, so I’m not going to ask you 30 questions about what colour each juror represents or to write an essay on why someone else was better than you. There’s just no point, that type of stuff won’t help me make my decision and its just a waste of time for you. All I want from you guys is a BRIEF list of what move you made in the game where you consciously thought in that moment that that move would result in you winning this game.
Notice I emphasized the word brief, I’m not looking for a long list, hell you could have made only one move in the game that you actually did for the purpose of winning it, but it could be one hell of a move. Maybe it was big, maybe it was subtle, but the reason I want this list is because I want to see who was actually thinking of the win. Keep your answers as concise as possible, I won’t punish you for adding detail, but there shouldn’t really be a need. There’s no shame in playing this game just to make the finals, and if you did, congratulations you accomplished your goal. But just because you played to make it here doesn’t mean you actually deserve to be the winner. Once again, congratulations, you all played a great game and I wish you the best of luck with these questions!

Hey Malcolm!
Honestly, hearing that you aren't bitter is really exciting. I think we all had you pegged as someone who would rip us a new asshole, so it's nice knowing I can keep my sole hole.
As for my list of moves, my first move that I thought pushed me forward as a winner was the round you were eliminated. I had instilled enough trust in people that multiple told me you were targetting me, and I made sure that you would go home that round. That was the first big move of the merge.
The next move I made with the thought of winning was the Silas boot. The votes were on Jay and Morgan, but I didn't particularly want either to go at that point. So I went to Sean, told him we should vote Silas, and that's what happened. I knew Silas was going to flip on me soon, so I had to strike first, and I got the entire tribe to unite for one vote. It was a ten minutes before the vote swap that I managed to fully orchestrate.
My last move that I made to win the game was voting for Jay at final four. Jay was a huge ass threat, and he had to go. If I had voted Sean out, honestly, I wouldn't deserve to win, but voting for Jay and forcing him to a tiebreaker gave me a much bigger shot to win.
Thanks for your question!! I hope that was brief enough for you.

Hi Malcolm! I 100% played to win - I assessed the biggest threats in the beginning and made it my goal to get them out -I took out every past winner -I personally am responsible for the tie between Morgan & Courtney which led to Courtney's departure ellimating another number for Brenda / Bob -I chose to vote out Morgan over Sean -Every round I considered every option presented and chose the direction that would ellimate options for everyone else and better my chances -I don't feel like I was ever an actual target even though I feel like I had the control every round with the exception of the one when Silas left -I played hard and was strategic starting with Vee, I'm very happy with my game.

Heyo Malcolm!!
Mmkay, so i'm not gonna lie, i don't have plans to get me to win that like... worked often. But that doesn't mean winning wasn't on my mind. I'm not sure who really started the Savage plan, but i distinctly remember after you got voted out, i went straight to RC and was like 'k, we need to talk' and got the ball rolling with her as an ally and got Savage out.
-at Final 7 i HAD the votes to get Jay out. RC/Silas were voting Morgan. Brenda/Jay were voting Silas. I had bob at the ready to vote Jay, i just needed Morgan and that would have been one epic blindside. that would have been my move to help me win, but Morgan just wouldn't do it </3 -final 6, i made the move with Morgan to throw two votes on Brenda. She claimed her idol expired at f6 but i didn't believe her. She and bob were supposed to vote Jay (shocker, Brenda didn't cause she's bffs with Jay outside the game) Jay/RC voted Morgan. So Morgan and I voting Brenda either put it at a 3 way tie if Brenda was lying, or a 2 way tie if she wasn't. Granted this plan didn't fully work out, but its still another reason to show that i was playing to win. -Final 5 i convinced RC and Jay to save me, cause Brenda wanted me out for god knows what reason. This then helped me at final 4 cause Brenda was upset they didn't inform her on the Bob voting plan.

I'd like to point out that you didn't convince us, it was something we were already discussing taking out Bob, most of our discussion surrounding you was you not voting me out for that round.
