I'm definitely disappointed to be out of the game. But considering I was almost the first boot, I'm pretty proud to have made it to the Final 7! I think that's pretty impressive for an All Stars game. Yay me! I didn't really know any of these players either, so I knew coming into it there was a very good chance I could be an early boot, but I worked my way around it. I struggled at times with my activity, especially the first couple of rounds of the merge, but considering I was on vacation and had trouble getting internet, plus on a completely different timezone to everyone, I did my best.
I don't really know what happened in the round I got booted. I wasn't blindsided in the least, but I wouldn't have been shocked if I stayed either. I knew the whole round it would be one of me, Jay or Morgan leaving. Seeing as Jay was in my Final 3, all I could do was work on keeping the target off of us and get a majority vote onto Morgan. I really thought it could be done, but Sean was coming after Jay big time and had Morgan/Bob/Brenda lined up with him to take him out. I was approached to be in on that plan, but was loyal to Jay, and kept pushing for Morgan to leave. Somehow, the vote switched to me in a mad scramble before the deadline. It was probably to my detriment to go out of my way to protect Jay so much and target Morgan, but I have no regrets!
I had a lot of fun making everybody go crazy with my flip-flopping strategy! I was going to play that way all the way to the end. I needed to find two people I'd be completely loyal to and those were Jay and RC. I thought as long as the others thought there was a chance I would side with them for a move, I could go all the way. I guess people just lost trust in me and I wasn't reliable, so they all teamed up on me, which I knew could happen eventually. So I probably got what was coming for me!
My fave moments of the game were pulling in me/RC/Jamie/Ian into an alliance to blindside Vecepia in the first round and save myself, getting revenge on Cliff, also the Malcolm/Savage blindsides were big moves cause those were two huge threats and I definitely was a big driving force in making those two votes happen. I came into this game saying I was going to play more aggressively, and I stuck to that!
I'm rooting for Jay, RC and Brenda! They're all great players and I enjoyed talking with all three of them. Hopefully at least one of them makes it to the end, so I can cast a vote for someone I like!
Thanks for having me back, Brandon! I know you didn't think much of my game in CYS12. I didn't either! I felt like I was just sleepwalking through that entire game and didn't make any moves of my own. But I promised I'd be better this time around. I hope I delivered and gave you what you wanted! <3
