Welcome to Escambialand!
Our tribe camp is located off the coast of Disney World in Florida. The Escambia tribe was visiting Disney World and each member was dressed up as their favorite Disney character. When they decided to take Malcolm/Captain Jack Sparrow's pirate ship out for a voyage on the deep blue sea no one could have predicted what would happen next.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the members of the Escambia tribe were having a great time. None of them had ever laughed as hard when they saw Ian with his seashell bra dressed like Ariel the mermaid. The dark clouds came out of nowhere, like a deer darting across the street and hitting an oncoming vehicle. The rain followed shortly after that. Captain Jack Sparrow, usually a master of his craft, was having trouble controlling the boat due to the high waves. They had to have been at least 20 feet tall. There was an island not too far off. If we could only get there we can wait until the storm passes on safe ground, the Captain thought. The Escambia tribe would get there all right, but not in the way Jack Sparrow had envisioned. The wind was now in full control of the ship. Lightning bolts filled the sky like a flock of fireflies forever illuminated. Miraculously the boat was heading in the direction of the island. There was a large rock on the edge of the island, as long as the boat didn't collide with it there would be a good change of a safe landing. But that was not to be. As the boat approached the island there was no avoiding the rock, which destroyed the beloved boat. Sparrow did his best to keep his composure as the rest of the tribe disembarked the damaged craft. The weather took a turn for the better, however the group was stranded. They declared the island Escambialand and created the most amazing sand castle the world had ever seen. Everyone found a way to pitch in, Heidi / Cinderella used her skills and make chocolate / peanut butter rice and Ian started training the Dolphins with the hope that he could ride one to get help. No one knew how long it would be until they were rescued, but the Escambia tribe upheld good spirits and made Escambialand a great place to live.
